The Times of Northwest Indiana seeks a creative, energetic and versatile reporter to cover public safety, as well as a wide variety of other topics, in an area with no shortage of exciting news.
This person must have a knack for spotting trends, profiling interesting people and getting to the heart of stories.
The right candidate will be a talented and inspired writer who is not satisfied with merely covering the news. We want an aggressive reporter who can jump on a big breaking story. We want a creative reporter who can find news and sources that others have overlooked. And we want a flexible reporter who is comfortable working alone or with colleagues.
The successful candidate understands complex issues and writes fairly, clearly, accurately and authoritatively. Experience producing multi-media reports for online publication is preferred.
