The St. Louis Post-Dispatch multimedia team is looking for a 2025 winter photo/video intern from January through March to join our staff.
This is a 12-week paid internship at a rate of $18 per hour. Prior photo/video internships are a plus. College credit is available. Applicants must be at least a junior in college, a recent college grad or currently in grad school to qualify.
The candidate must be creative, flexible with a sense of curiosity and can generate and execute photo and video assignments on deadline.
The ideal candidate will be able to handle all types of visual content mediums for deadline assignments.
Chosen candidate must have dependable transportation and a smartphone during the internship. Work-related mileage will be reimbursed.
Also, must work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
Mandatory:
+ Good visual storytelling skills using video, still photography or a combination of both.
+ Capability to produce 1-2-minute news, feature and sports videos.
+ Ability to execute deadline photo/video news reporting from the field.
+ Ability to create engaging and accurate captions, headlines and teases for videos and photos.
+ Great communication skills and ability to interact well with newsroom staffers and the public.
+ Comfortable with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and Photo Mechanic.
