Description

Charlevoix Public Schools is currently in search of a dynamic secondary Spanish teacher who can cultivate a positive learning environment, uphold high academic standards, and foster a student-centered classroom. This position is based at Charlevoix Middle High School, serving students from grades 7 through 12. 

Qualifications: 

  • Spanish 7-12 Certification 
  • Must meet Highly Qualified requirements as defined by the Michigan Department of Education 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate student learning, growth, and achievement. 
  • Support and monitor individual student progress, utilizing data to adapt teaching strategies. 
  • Establish and reinforce classroom rules and procedures to manage student behavior effectively. 
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. 
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with legal requirements, district policies, and school regulations. 
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. 
  • Possess a strong understanding of Multi-tiered Systems of Support. 
  • Participate in department, school, district, and parental meetings. 
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate a whole child approach to teaching. 
  • Ensure consistent and punctual attendance. 
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
