Buzz’s Marine of Kearney is seeking a qualified candidate to assist in the direction of the company’s advertising and marketing. This professional position requires a minimum of 2 years experience and Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field. A background in boating and the outdoors is helpful.
Duties include: Marketing planning and buying, budgeting, event management, public relations, maintaining company website and more.
Job Responsibilities Overview:
- Company spokesperson (involving media etc.)
- Advertising Director, Public Relations
- Develop & Implement Marketing Plans
- Responsible for driving Sales, Customer and Public Good Will, Grow the sport of boating
- Assist company President and Projects designated
- Assist Sales department in creating customer relationships
- Create and maintain website & social media content
Website:
- Maintenance including fresh content-boats, articles, photos, fishing reports
- Maintain e-mail address database
- Website promotion
- Online advertising including Search Engine Advertising
- Search Engine Optimization
Advertising:
- Create and implement annual marketing and advertising budget
- Make media buys/contract buys to effectively reach the target market
- Write copy for radio and television advertising
- Maintain separate inventory for additional boating websites
- File coop by deadlines provided
- Ensure all advertising meets coop guidelines
- In-store signage
Public Relations:
- When appropriate, serve as company spokesperson, or direct media inquiries to the correct individual
- Write and send press releases for company news, awards, announcements
- Host events to grow the sport of boating and fishing, increase awareness of boating safety
- Support community and industry related organizations
Boat Shows & Events:
- Determine Shows and Events with the Sales Department
- Coordinate all the details of shows, sales, and events, including attractions, logistics, reservations, advertising and marketing of all events including in-house and off-site
Research:
- Research sales trends and evaluate marketing efforts. Make adjustments based on results.
- Read/Research for marketing and event ideas from other dealers in different markets via. Internet and trade magazines
- Track how customers hear of us through our warranty response cards
- Track all incoming online sales leads to determine the effectiveness of online promotion
- Have the ability to be creative and think outside the box.
